Location, Location, Location. Use Google Maps to zoom in on your ancestors’ location(s) as found on their birth, marriage, or death records. Knowing where they lived, worked, and died will help you create a locality guide that will assist you in finding answers to your research questions.

Shaura Miller

Shaura Miller, nee Parker, oldest child of Rick and Marilyn Parker, inherited a love of reading, teaching, and life-long learning from her parents. As the oldest of eight children, she was born in Rupert, lived in six different states, and one province in Canada before returning to her roots in Rupert in 2007.  She grew up hearing the stories of her ancestors. Her father shares memories with his children, grandchildren, and now great grandchildren that link them to their past. Now as a mother and grandmother, Shaura strives to share her love of family history with her family of four sons, two daughters-in-law and one grandson. She is currently finishing her last family history class through an online program at BYU-Idaho to prepare her to become a certified genealogist.
